SUBJECT: COUNCIL MEETING DATE CHANGES
RECOMMENDATION:
Council to consider canceling the July 4, 2000 City Council meeting and rescheduling the
August 1, 2000 City Council meeting to Monday, July 31, 2000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The first City Council meeting in July falls on the July 4th holiday, therefore Staff
recommends canceling the July 4, 2000 City Council meeting. The second City Council
meeting in July would be held on July 18 as scheduled.
The first City Council meeting in August falls on National Night Out Against Crime;
therefore, Staff recommends rescheduling the August 1, 2000 meeting to Monday, July 31,
2000. Rescheduling the first meeting in August would allow City Council to participate in
the National Night Out neighborhood programs. The second City Council meeting in
August would be held on August 15 as scheduled.
