GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, AUTHORIZiNG THE CITY MANAGER
OR THE CITY MANAGER'S DESIGNEE TU PURCHRSE
CARPET AND INSTALLATION SERVICES FOR THE
LIBRARY EXPANSfON THROUGH AN ESTABUSHED
INTERLOCA� PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT AND
PRQVIQING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas is a local government in the State af
Texas and as such is empowered by the Texas Local Government Code, Sectian
271.102 ta enter inta a cooperative purchasing program agreement w'rth other qualified
entities in tha State of Texas; and
WHEREAS, The Local Government Purchasing Cooperative (Buyboard} is a
qualified purchasing cooperative program as authorized by Section 271.102 of#he Texas
Lacal Government Code; and
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas, has estab(ished an Interlocal
Participation Agreement with The Local Gavernment Purchasing Cooperative
(Buyboard) and wishes to utilize estabiished contracts meeting all State of Texas bidding
requirements; and
WHEREAS, The Local Government Purchasing Cooperative (Buyboard} has an
established contract no. 476-15, Flooring - Indoor/Outdoor and Sports Surfaces with
Retail Commercial Flaoring Services,; and
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas has a need to purchase new carpet and
installation services far the Library expansion; and
WHEREAS, ail constitutianal and statutory prerequisites far the approval of this
resoiution have been met, inciuding but not limited to the Ctpen Meetings Act; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems the adoptian of#his resalution ta be in the best
interests of the health, safety, and welfare of the public.
NC3W, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY CUUNCIL OF THE CITY
tJF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated in the above preamble are true and correct
and are incorporated herein as if capied in their entirety.
Sectian 2. That the City Council af the City af Grapevine authorizes the
purchase of new carpet and installation services for the Library expansion from Retail
Commercia! Flooring Services through an interlocai Participation Agreement with The
Local Government Purchasing Coaperative (Buyboard) for an amount not to exceed
$43,204.Q0.
Section 3. That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to take ail steps
necessary to consummate the purchase of said carpet and installation services.
Section 4. That this resolution shaii take effect from and after the date af its
passage.
