A RESOLUTION QF TME CITY COUNCIL (JF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVfNE, TEXAS,AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
OR THE CITY MANAGERS' DESIGNEE TU APPROVE AND
RRTlFY THE EMERGENCY PURCHASE UF A NEW LIFT
STATION PUMP THAT WAS MADE UN MAY 11, 2016 AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas is a local gavemment in the State of
Texas and as such is empowered by the Texas Local Gavernment Cade, Section
252.022 {a) {1) ta preserve property; and
WHEREAS, the emergency iift station pump was needed at the Dove Lift Station
1 as soon as possible; and
WHEREAS, all legal prerequisites for the adoption af this resoiution have been
met, including but not limited to the Local Government Code and the Open Meetings Act;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council hereby declares that the apprava( of this resolutian is
in the best interests of the health, safety, and welfare af the pubiic.
NtJW, THEREFORE, BE iT REStJLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE GITY
4F GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters sta#ed in the above preamble are true and correct
and are incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City Counci( af the City af Grapevine authorizes and ratifies
the emergency purchase of a new iift sta#ion pump fram Pump Solutions, Inc. an May
11, 201fi in the amount of$19,246.00.
Section 3. That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to take all steps
necessary#o consummate and ratify the emergency purchase of said lift station pump.
Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEViNE, TEXAS on this the 17t" day of May, 2016.
