APPROVAL OF BID 76-2001, REPLACEMENT OF MOTOR
CONTROL CENTER ELECTRICAL PANEL — WATER
TREATMENT PLANT
City Council to consider approval of a contract award to Krause Design, Inc. for the
replacement of the motor control center electrical panel at the Water Treatment Plant.
The total cost for this contract is $93,364.00. The bid tabulation for this bid is attached
for review.

BACKGROUND:
Bids were taken in accordance with Local Government Code, Section 252.021. Thirteen
vendors received bids with three vendors responding. Notice of the bid was published in
the Fort Worth Star Telegram and the Grapevine Sun on December 21, 2000 and
December 28, 2000. In addition, the bid was advertised on the City purchasing web site.
The web site had bid forms available for download. A pre-bid meeting was held on
January 5, 2001 to discuss the specifications and work requirements. Ten vendors
attended the pre-bid meeting.
This project will consist of furnishing all labor, materials, services and equipment
required to replace the current motor control center electrical panel at the Water
Treatment Plant.
