SUBJECT: RESOLUTION TO ESTABLISH AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT
WITH THE CITY OF HALTOM CITY
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council to consider approving a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an
Inter -local Agreement with the City of Haltom City, Texas. This agreement would allow
Haltom City to purchase a Caterpillar Rubber Tire Front End Loader, Model 924-GZ
from a bid established by the City of Grapevine.
FUNDING SOURCE:
No funding source would be necessary for this agreement.
BACKGROUND:
The City of Haltom City has requested assistance in the form of an Inter -local
Agreement to allow Haltom City to purchase a Caterpillar Rubber Tire Front End Loader,
Model 924-GZ from bid number 68-2000 that was approved by Council on November
21, 2000. The cooperative purchasing process is allowed under Section 271.102 of the
Local Government Code. This is a convenience for the City of Haltom City and has no
cost implications for Grapevine.
Staff recommends approval.

RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
ENTER INTO AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH THE
CITY OF HALTOM CITY, TEXAS FOR THE PURPOSE OF A
COOPERATIVE PURCHASING PROGRAM AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas is a local government in the State of
Texas and as such is empowered by the Texas Local Government Code, Section 271.102
to enter into a cooperative purchasing program agreement with other qualified entities in
the State of Texas; and
WHEREAS, the City of Haltom City, Texas is a qualified entity as authorized by
Section 271.102 of the Texas Local Government Code; and
WHEREAS, the City of Haltom City, Texas wishes to utilize a City of Grapevine
vendor for the purchase of a Caterpillar Rubber Tire Front End Loader, Model 924-GZ,
pursuant to City of Grapevine Bid Number 68-2000, awarded by the Grapevine City
Council on November 21, 2000, such bid having been processed in accordance with the
Texas Local Government Code, Chapter 14951.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated in the above preamble are true and correct and
are incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the Mayor of the City of Grapevine is authorized to enter into an
Interlocal agreement with the City of Haltom City, a copy is attached hereto as Exhibit "A".
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 6th day of February, 2001.
