SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF CONTRACT RENEWAL, BID NUMBER 47-2000,
JANITORIAL CLEANING OF PARKS FACILITIES
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council to consider renewal of an annual contract with Mary Lou Gilmore to provide
Park facility cleaning. A copy of the original agenda memo and bid tabulation is attached
for review. Expenditures will be limited to the annual budgeted amount approved for this
service.
FUNDING SOURCE:
100-44540-312-3 General Fund/Park Maintenance/Professional Services ... $22,000
BACKGROUND:
Council first approved the award of a contract for this service on March 28, 2000 as
shown on the attached agenda memo. The contract establishes fixed annual pricing for
janitorial services at various City park facilities. The contract allows for two additional
contract renewals. This would be the first renewal period. The current vendor has
indicated they will renew the contract at the same pricing originally quoted and have
satisfactorily performed the service during the original contract period.
Staff recommends approval.
