BACKGROUND: The City of Grapevine acquired two parcels of right-of-way (Parcels 1 & 2) and one drainage easement (Parcel 2E) from the Box tracts on either side of Business 114L north of the railroad crossing at the request of TxDOT. This acquisition was in preparation for the widening of the railroad bridge which is currently under contract but on which work has not actually begun. City staff then forwarded the right-of-way parcels and drainage easement to TxDOT for their files. TxDOT has recently requested a formal conveyance from the City in accordance with their right-of-way guidelines. Staff recommends approval.
