SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE
CONTRACTUAL TRAINING PROVIDER CONTRACT WITH THE
TEXAS COMMISSION ON LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER
STANDARDS AND EDUCATION
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council to consider a resolution supporting the in-service training program of the
Grapevine Police Department conducted under a Contractual Training Provider Contract
with the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education
(TCLEOSE) and establish an effective date.

Not applicable
BACKGROUND
TCLEOSE requires all Peace Officer License holders to complete a mi
hours of in-service training every two years. The Grapevine Police Depart
a substantial amount of the required training through the departme
Training Program conducted under a Contractual Training Provider
TCLEOSE that is valid for a two year period. The existing contract expires
2005 and is subject to renewal.

Section 1. That the City Council supports the in-service training program of the
Grapevine Police Department conducted under a Contractual Training Provider Contract
with the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education
(TCLEOSE).
Section 2. That this resolution shall become effective from and after the date of
its passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 7th day of December, 2004.
