Re: Conditional Use Application Concerning the Proposed Residence Inn by Marriott Hotel Facility — 2020 State Highway 26 — Grapevine, Texas Gentlemen: By way of introduction, my name is Michael Mahoney, and I am the development partner for a Dallas, Texas based hotel development and operating company — Western International — "Western". Herewith, Western is respectfully presenting a conditional use application for a 138 room Residence Inn by Marriott hotel development located upon the above referenced address. Residence Inn by Marriott is a national brand of upscale suite hotels targeting family and business travelers who are on the road for a few nights or longer. Residence Inn by Marriott hotels are designed to make the guest feel at home, providing them with all the comforts, convenience and privacy of home, including the following amenities: suites with fully equipped kitchens, complimentary high-speed internet access in the guestrooms with wireless capabilities in the common areas, exercise facility, meeting room, business center, and swimming pool. Additionally, the Grapevine Residence Inn by Marriott will feature a restaurant serving three meals per day. As depicted in the site plan and building elevations accompanying our application, the proposed Residence Inn by Marriott will be an eight story building, containing 138 rooms, with on-site surface parking for 139 vehicles. The infrastructure will be constructed from concrete and the exterior of the building will utilize a natural stone fagade at the first floor with the balance of the exterior in stucco, accented appropriately by color variations.
