ORDINANCE NO. 2004-37 ��s�' AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS AMENDING THE GRAPEVINE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CHAPTER 20-7, RELATIVE TO STREET NAME CHANGES; PROVIDING FOR THE NAME CHANGE OF A CERTAIN STREET; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center on Lake Grapevine development will attract a large number of consumers to Grapevine; and WHEREAS, the development will be the primary, if not the only, development in the northeast quadrant of the BS 114 L / SH 26 / Ruth Wall Road intersection; and WHEREAS, this roadway is proposed to be reconstructed as a six lane divided section with median; and WHEREAS, it is desirable to make the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention - ' Center on Lake Grapevine development more readily identifiable from area freeways; and z�� � WHEREAS, it now appears appropriate to name the segment of BS 114 L from its intersection with Ruth Wall Road at the north to its intersection with SH 114 at the south as "Texan Trail". NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS: Section 1. That all of the above premises are found to be true and correct and are incorporated into the body of this ordinance as if copied in their entirety. Section 2. That Chapter 20, Section 20-7 Street Name Changes of the Grapevine Code of Ordinances is hereby amended by the addition of the following street name changes: "Texan Trait "BS 114 L from Ruth Wall Road at the north to SH 114 at the south is hereby designated and shall hereafter be known as Texan Trail." Section 3. All provisions of Section 20-7 not specifically amended herein shall remain in full force and effect and shall not be amended by the adoption of this ordinance. �� . _ Section 4. If any section, article, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase, or word in this ordinance, or application thereto any person or circumstance is held invalid or �:. unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such holding shall not affect the vatidity of the remaining portions of this ordinance; and the City Council hereby declares it would have passed such remaining portions of the ordinance in spite of such invalidity, which remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect. Section 5. The fact that the present ordinances and regulations of the City of Grapevine, Texas are inadequate to properly safeguard the health, safety, morals, peace and general welfare of the public creates an emergency which requires that this ordinance become effective from and after the date of its passage, and it is accordingly so ordained.
