Two contractors responded to the invitation. The City Council authorized staff to undertake renovations of Silver Lake Campground last October. Part of the renovations include adding courtesy docks to 10 camp sites. These docks are double wide (8 feet wide and 40 feet long) and will serve two campsites per dock. A camper who rents a site with a courtesy dock will have access to it for their boat, fishing, or personal enjoyment. The sixth dock will be used to stage the Grapevine sailing program. It will be used during their program time and then be relocated to the campground for use in the campground during the off season. In accordance with City Purchasing Policy, Staff issued invitations to bid to six vendors that provide marine equipment. Two vendors responded to the invitation. FasTech Distributiors was the lowest bidder and met all of the terms, conditions and specifications of the bid document. Staff believes that FasTech Distributors provided the best offer to the City and recommends approval of the purchase in a total amount of $41,880.00. April 13, 2005 (1:17PM) C C?
