SUBJECT: APPOINTMENT OF THE STUDENT EX -OFFICIO MEMBER OF
THE PARKS & RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD
RECOMMENDATION:
The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board recommends that the City Council approve Ms.
Sarah Waldrop, 2508 Springhill Drive, as the student ex -officio member of the Parks &
Recreation Advisory Board for a period of one year.
Staff contacted the Superintendent of GCISD regarding a nomination of a student from
either Grapevine or Colleyville-Heritage High Schools but no students applied. Board
Member Leon Leal contacted Ms. Waldrop about serving on the Parks & Recreation
Advisory Board. Ms. Waldrop is a student at Covenant Christian Academy in Colleyville.
The Board passed a motion at the April 21St meeting to recommend the City Council
appoint Ms. Waldrop as the student ex -officio member of the Parks & Recreation
Advisory Board.
