1 . City Council to conduct a closed session relative to:
A. Personnel relative to City Manager under Section 551 .074, Texas
Government Code.
City Council to reconvene in open session and take any necessary action relative
to personnel under Section 551 .074, Texas Government Code.

The City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in Special Session (Executive
Session) on this the 22nd day of April, 1997 at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council
Conference Room, Second Floor, 200 South Main Street with the following members
present to-wit:
William D. Tate Mayor
Ted R. Ware Mayor Pro Tem
Sharron Spencer Council Member
C. Shane Wilbanks Council Member
Jerry L. Pittman Council Member
Clydene Johnson Council Member
Roy Stewart Council Member
constituting a quorum, with the following members of the City Staff:
Roger Nelson Assistant City Manager
Linda Huff City Secretary
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Tate called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
ITEM 1 . EXECUTIVE SESSION
Mayor Tate announced the City Council would conduct a closed session relative to
personnel regarding the City Manager under Section 551 .074, Texas Government
Code.
Upon reconvening in open session in the Council Chambers, Mayor Tate asked if there
was any action necessary relative to the closed session.
Council Member Wilbanks, seconded by Council Member Pittman, offered a motion to
establish the salary for the Interim City Manager, Mr. Roger Nelson, at $97,500.00 per
annum to be effective April 25, 1998 at 5:00 p.m. The motion prevailed by the
following vote:
Ayes: Tate, Ware, Spencer, Wilbanks, Pittman, Johnson & Stewart
Nays: None

ADJOURNMENT
Council Member Spencer, seconded by Council Member Stewart, offered a motion ta
adjourn the meeting at 7:45 p.m. The motion prevailed by the foilowing vate:
Ayes: Tate, Ware, Spencer, Wilbanks, Pittman, Jahnson & Stewart
Nays: Nane
