CONTRACT
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council consider awarding the Church Street and Dooley Street Construction
Project Geo -technical Services Contract to Terra -Mar, Inc. in an amount not to exceed
$ 38,752.00, authorize staff to execute said contract, and take any necessary action.

BACKGROUND:
The Church Street and Dooley Street Construction Project is beginning the week of May
17, 2004 after the close of the Main Street Days festival. The first activity will be the
underground storm drainage system work. This project includes significant underground
storm drainage system construction in Church Street and in Worth Street between
Church Street and Scribner Street.
The geo-tech proposal addresses the standard scope of testing activities including the
compaction testing of the pipe trench backfill.
Pipe Backfill Compaction Density Testing
Pavement Subgrade Lime Stabilization
Pavement Subgrade Density Testing
Asphalt Pavement Testing Sampling at Plant
Asphalt Pavement Laboratory Testing
Asphalt Pavement Density Testing
Concrete Cylinders
Concrete Laboratory Testing
The proposed scope of testing is reasonable for a project of this type.
Staff recommends approval.
