MEMO TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL

SUBJECT: BOARD AND COMMISSION APPOINTMENTS
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council to appoint citizens to boards/commission and the Chairman of the
Convention & Visitors Bureau Advisory; Mayor to appoint City Council liaisons and the
Chairman of the Grapevine Heritage Foundation and take any necessary action.
BACKGROUND:
Each year at this time, the City Council reviews and considers citizen appointments to
the various boards and commissions. Notifications of vacancies on the boards and
commission were published in the Fort Worth Star Telegram, Dallas Morning News and
The Grapevine Sun. Applications were compiled and distributed to the City Council and
Staff on Friday, May 14. Attendance records for each board and commission from June
2003 - May 2004 were provided in the packet delivered to the Council. The City Council
panels conducted applicant interviews on June 3rd, 4tn 9tn and 11tH
A listing of the current Council board liaison and committee appointments is included for
your review.
