SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF CONTRACT RENEWAL FOR BID NUMBER 47-
2000, JANITORIAL CLEANING OF PARKS FACILITIES
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council to consider renewal of a contract to Mary Lou Gilmore as the lowest and
best bid meeting City specifications for an annual contract to clean facilities at various
City parks. A bid tabulation and summary is attached for review. Annual contract
expenditures will be limited to the annual budgeted amount shown below.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Funds are available in accounts:
100-44540-312-3 General Fund/Park Maintenance/Professional Services .... $40,000.00
100-44540-312-9 General Fund/Lake-Parks/Professional Services.............$60,000.00
BACKGROUND:
This request is to renew the annual contract for cleaning services to facilities at various
City parks. Bids were initially solicited in February 2000 and approved by Council on
March 28, 2000. The specifications of the bid provided for fixed pricing for a one-year
period with an option to renew for four additional one-year periods. This request is for
the fourth and last renewal period.
Mary Lou Gilmore has indicated she will renew the contract at the same pricing originally
quoted and has satisfactorily performed the service during the contract period.
Staff recommends approval.
