Visibility from side streets is restricted at several locations along Windswept Lane due to inadequate corner clearances and the street's curvilinear alignment close to the intersections. At the current speed limit of 30 mph, there is inadequate sight distance to safely stop upon seeing a vehicle or pedestrian entering the intersections from these side streets. This is especially evident at the intersection of Windswept Lane and Wortham Drive where the visibility is limited to approximately 150 feet. A reduced speed limit of 25 mph, in combination with additional planned signage will improve motorist and pedestrian safety. Staff recommends approval.
