ELEVATED STORAGE TANK
City Council consider approving Change Order No. 3 & Final to the Service Center
Elevated Storage Tank Construction Contract in the amount of $16,864.00 for various
items required during the construction of the project, authorize staff to execute said
Change Orders, and take any necessary action.

BACKGROUND:
The construction of the elevated water tank and storage complex required some minor
modifications to obtain a certificate of occupancy and complete the project.
Included in the change order are the following items:
• Modifications to condensation lines and plumbing for the air conditioning units. Cost
$1,818.00
• Reconfiguration of the valve operation and SCADA system for power loss conditions.
Cost $1,495.00
• Installation of a fire diffuser in the mechanical room, per the fire inspection. Cost
$1,875.00
• Electrical changes including additional conduit inside of tank, an isolated ground to
outlets on each floor for the copiers and added wiring for the phone connections.
Cost $7,263.00
• Extension of communications conduit from the exterior wall of the tower to a point
beyond a concrete slab poured adjacent to the tower to provide for future connection
to the service center communication and computer network. Cost $1,821.00
• Miscellaneous items. Cost $2,592
Staff recommends approval.
