SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF CONTRACT RENEWAL FOR TEMPORARY
EMPLOYMENT SERVICES, NON -CLERICAL
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council to consider approval of a contract renewal to Temporaries of Texas for the
purchase of non -clerical temporary employment services on an as needed basis. A copy of the
bid tabulation is attached for review.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Limited to budget appropriations at the department level.
BACKGROUND:
Staff requests Council approval of a contract renewal to Temporaries of Texas for the
purchase of non -clerical employment services to be purchased on an as needed basis at
the department level.
Invitations to bid for this service were sent to ten vendors with one vendor responding.
Council originally approved the award to Temporaries of Texas on April 15, 2003. The
specifications of the bid allowed for an initial one year period with an option to renew for
four additional years. Rates for this service will not change. This is the first renewal
period.
Temporaries of Texas performed this service satisfactorily during the initial contract
period. Staff recommends approval.
