HomeMy WebLinkAboutItem 29 - FP Grapevine Station AdditionMEMO TO: THE HONORABLE MAYOR, MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION FROM: ROGER NELSON, CITY MANAGER` MEETING DATE: MARCH 23, 2004 SUBJECT: CORRECTED MOTION FOR APPROVAL FINAL PLAT OF LOTS 1-7, BLOCK 1; LOT 1, BLOCK 2; AND LOT 1, BLOCK 3; GRAPEVINE STATION ADDITION RECOMMENDATION: The members of City Council and The Planning & Zoning Commission consider the following corrected motion: "Move that the City Council (Planning and Zoning Commission) approve the Statement of Findings and the Final Plat Application of Lots 1-7, Block 1; Lot 1, Block 2; & Lot 1, Block 3; Grapevine Station Addition. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The motion for the Grapevine Station Addition was incorrectly worded and approved in the February 17, 2004 City Council and Planning & Zoning meeting. The initial intent of the developer was to Final Plat Lots 1 — 7, Block 1. However, the developer had also requested a BP zoning designation for a portion of the Grapevine Station development outside the scope of the initial Final Plat request. In accordance with the zoning ordinance, all parcels included in a BP zone change request must be platted. The agenda memo of the plat was written to reflect the initial Final Plat request; however, the exhibit provided with the agenda memo reflected the change of scope of the Final Plat to encompass the BP zoning designation. Lot 1, Block 2, and Lot 1, Block 3 should have been included in the wording of the motion for approval of the Final Plat. The City Attorney has reviewed the omission and agrees with the corrected motion.
