A RESQLUTIQN 4F THE CITY COUNCIL 4F THE CITY C?F
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS,AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
OR THE CITY MANAGERS' QESIGNEE TfJ APPROVE THE
SOLE SOURCE REPLACEMENT OF A SHUTTLE BUS
ENGINE AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHERERS, the City of Grapevine, Texas is a local government in the State of
Texas and as such is empowered by Texas Local Government Code Chapter 252,
Subchapter B, § 252.022. General Exemptions {a}{7}{d} to repair said equipment on a
sole source basis; and
WHEREAS, the sale saurce purchase is due to Southwest Internatianal Trucks
being the only company able to provide parts and components necessary ta repair this
Convention and Visitors Bureau shuttle bus far the Fleet Department; and
WHEREAS, all constitutional and statutory prerequisites for the approval of this
resolution have been met, including but not limited to the Qpert Meetings Act; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems the adaptian af this resolutian to be in the best
interests af the health, safety, and welfare of the public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated hereinabove are found to be true and correc#
and are incorporated herein by reference as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Grapevine authorizes the sole
source purchase far the replacement af a shuttle bus engine for an amount not to exceed
$21,732.58.
Section 3. That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to take all steps
necessary ta consummate the repairs af said shuttle bus.
