GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
OR THE CITY MANAGER'S DESIGNEE TO PURCHASE A
CHRISTMAS ELVES VILLAGE THROUGH AN
ESTABLISHED INTER�QCAL PARTICIPATIQN
AGREEMENT AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas is a local government in the State of
Texas and as such is empowered by the Texas Local Government Code, Sec#ian 271.102
ta enter inta a cooperative purchasing program agreement with ather qualified entities in
the State of Texas; and
WHEREAS, The Local Government Purchasing Coopera#ive (BuyBoarc!) is a
qualified purchasing cooperative program as authorized by Section 271.102 of the Texas
Loca1 Government Code; and
WHEREAS, the Git}r of Grapevine, Texas has established an Interlacal
Participation Agreement wi#h The Local Government Purchasing Cooperative (BuyBoard)
and wishes ta utilize es#ablished cantracts meeting all 5tate of Texas bidding
� requirements; and
WHEREAS, The Local Government Purchasing Cooperative (BuyBoard) has an
established contract no. 483-15, Holiday Lighting and Decorations with Arnett Marketing;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas has a need for a new Elves Village; and
WHEREAS, all constitutianal and statutory prerequisites for the appraval of this
resolution have been met, including but nat limited to the Open Meetings Act; and
WHEREAS, the �i#y Council deems the adoption of this resolution to be in the best
interests of the health, safety, and welfare af the public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
4F GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated hereinabove are found to be true and correct
and are incorporated herein by reference as if copied in their entirety.
Sectian 2. That the City Cauncil of the City of Grapevine authorizes the
purchase af an E1ves Village from Arnett Marketing through an Interlocal Participatian
Agreement with The Local Government Purchasing Cooperative (BuyBoard) for an
amount not to exceed $85,80Q.00.
Section 3. That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to take all steps
necessary to consumma#e the purchase of said Elves Village.
SeGtion 4. That this resolution shall #ake effect from and after the date of its
passage.
