SUBJECT: AWARD OF AN INFORMAL REQUEST FOR QUOTE FOR
CARPET REPLACEMENT AT THE LANCASTER AND PALACE
THEATERS
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council to consider approval for the award of an informal request for carpet
replacement at the Lancaster and Palace Theaters from Corporate Floors, Inc.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Funding for this purchase is currently available in 115-43350-351-01 (Building
Maintenance) for an amount not to exceed $49,501.23.
BACKGROUND:
This purchase is for the replacement of the 15 year old carpet at the Lancaster and Palace
Theaters on the 1 st floor and stairwells. The new carpet is a re-creation of the original and
is being made to virtually match the existing carpet.
Informal quotes were taken in accordance with the City Purchasing Policy. Formal bids
and advertisements are not required for purchases under $50,000.00. Three quotes were
submitted as noted below. Corporate Floors, Inc. submitted the lowest quote meeting
specification requirements.
Corporate Floors, Inc. $49,501.23
AC Contract Company $51,250.00
Mark IV Construction Group $55,150.00
CVB Executive Director recommends approval.
