RESOLUTION NO. CCPD 2006-01
A RESOLUTION OF THE TEMPORARY BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE CRIME
CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT CALLING A
PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE PROPOSED 2006-
2008 CRIME CONTROL PLAN FOR THE GRAPEVINE
CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT;
CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE
PROPOSED 2006-2008 BUDGET FOR THE GRAPEVINE
CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT; AND
APPROVING PROCEDURES FOR ADOPTING A WORK
PLAN AND BUDGET FOR THE GRAPEVINE CRIME
CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine City Council, as authorized by Chapter 363 of
the Texas Local Government Code, appointed the Temporary Board of Directors for the
City of Grapevine Crime Control and Prevention District (the "Temporary Board"); and
WHEREAS, the Temporary Board has met and considered the creation of a
permanent district which would be dedicated to crime reduction programs; and
WHEREAS, the Temporary Board has reviewed the proposed two year Crime
Control Plan and Budget Plan in compliance with Chapter 363 of the Local Government
Code; and
WHEREAS, the proposed Crime Control Plan and Crime Control Budget Plan for
2006-2008 will serve to benefit the City of Grapevine by providing special funding for
crime reduction projects and programs to Grapevine residents and businesses; and
WHEREAS, the Temporary Board desires to call public hearings for the
consideration of the proposed two year Crime Control Plan and Budget; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 363 of the Local Government Code authorizes the
Temporary Board to adopt procedures for adopting a plan and budget which are
different from those contained in Chapter 363.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED BY THE
TEMPORARY BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE CRIME
CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT:
Section 1. Incorporation of Premises. That all of the above premises are
found and determined to be true and correct and are incorporated into the body of this
Resolution and Order by reference as if copied in their entirety.

Section 2. Public Hearings Called. Public Hearings to consider the proposed
two year Crime Control Plan and Budget are hereby called for August 15, 2006, to be
held at Grapevine City Hall, 200 South Main Street, Grapevine, Texas, beginning at
7:15 p.m.
Section 3. Budget Approval Procedure. For the first fiscal year of the
Grapevine Crime Control and Prevention District, the adoption of the Crime Control Plan
and Budget Plan shall be undertaken in accordance with Texas Local Government
Code Sections 363.204(b, c, e, and f). The Public hearings before the Temporary
Board and the City Council regarding the Crime Control Plan and Budget may be held
on the same date.
For all subsequent budget years, the adoption of the Crime Control Plan and Budget
shall be undertaken in accordance with Section 363.204 in its entirety.
Public hearings will be held before the Temporary Board and the City Council prior to
approval of a Crime Control Plan or Budget.
Section 4. Publication of Notice of Hearings. Notice of the August 15, 2006,
public hearings shall be given by publishing a notice in a newspaper with general
circulation in the proposed district (the Grapevine City Limits), not later than the 10th day
before the date of the hearings.
Section 5. Effective Date. This Resolution and Order shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, and it is accordingly so ordered.

TEMPORARY BOARD OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 31st day of
July, 2006.
