RESOLUTION NO. CCPD 2006-04
A RESOLUTION OF THE GRAPEVINE CRIME CONTROL
AND PREVENTION DISTRICT TEMPORARY BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS
DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE NOVEMBER 7, 2006
CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT
ELECTION AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas, a Home Rule Municipality, located in
Tarrant, Dallas and Denton Counties, Texas; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 363 of the Texas Local Government Code, the
Grapevine Crime Control and Prevention District Temporary Board of Directors duly
called an election on November 7, 2006, for the purpose of presenting to the voters a
proposition of creating a Crime Control and Prevention District as permitted and for
such purposes as prescribed under such statute; and
WHEREAS, the Proposition was stated on the ballot as shown in Exhibit "A";
and
WHEREAS, the Tarrant County Election Judge certified the following election
results:

WHEREAS, the results of the crime control and prevention district election, as
canvassed and tabulated above, that said election was conducted in accordance with
the provisions of the Texas Election code and that the proposition passed by a vote of
7987 to 3039.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GRAPEVINE CRIME
CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT TEMPORARY BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That said election was duly called; that notice of said election was
duly published, and that said election was conducted in accordance with the provisions
f of the Texas Election code and that the proposition passed by a vote of 7987 to 3039.
Section 2. That this resolution shall become effective from and after the date
of its passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE GRAPEVINE CRIME CONTROL AND
PREVENTION DISTRICT TEMPORARY BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 15th day of November, 2006.

PROPOSITION (PROPOSICION)
"The creation of the City of Grapevine Crime Control and
Prevention District dedicated to crime reduction programs
and the adoption of a proposed sales and use tax at a rate of
one-half of one percent. (La creacion de un Distrito para la
Prevencion de y Control del Crimen en Grapevine, dedicado
a los programas para reduccion del crimen y la adopcion de
un impuesto local sobre ventas y use propuesto, a una mitad
de un por ciento.")
