Consider a resolution ordering an election be held on May 14, 2011 for the purpose of renewing the City of Grapevine Crime Control and Prevention District and take any necessary action. 2 Consider the minutes of the September 14, 2010 Grapevine Crime Control and Prevention District Board and take any necessary action. Lind Huff City Secretary STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF TARRANT CITY OF GRAPEVINE The Crime Control and Prevention District Board of the City of Grapevine, Texas met on this the 1 st day of March, 2011 at 7:45 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, Second Floor, 200 South Main Street, with the following Board members present to-wit: William D. Tate Presiding Officer C. Shane Wilbanks Board Member Sharron Spencer Board Member Roy Stewart Board Member Darlene Freed Board Member Mike Lease Board Member Chris Coy Board Member constituting a quorum, with the following members of the City Staff: Bruno Rumbelow City Manager Jennifer Hibbs Assistant City Manager John F. Boyle, Jr. City Attorney Linda Huff City Secretary CALL TO ORDER Presiding Officer Tate called the meeting to order at 8:56 p.m. ITEM 1. RESOLUTION, ORDERING AN ELECTION RENEWING THE CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT City Manager Bruno Rumbelow requested approval of a resolution ordering an election of the qualifiPd voters of the City of Grapevine to be held on May 14, 2011 for the purpose of s•er��wirg the City of Grapevine Crime Control and Prevention District for a term of 15 years and approvii;g the adoption of a one-half cent of one percent sales and use tax to support crime reduction, programs of the District. Councii Memt�Pr Freed, seconded by Council Member Coy, offered a motion to adopt the resolution callir,g the election for May 14, 2011. CCPD 2011-01 03/01/11 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT ORDERING AN ELECTION OF THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE TO BE HELD ON MAY 14, 2011, REGARDING THE CONTINUATION OF THE DISTRICT AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE ITEM 2. CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES Mayor Pro Tem Wilbanks, seconded by Council Member Stewart, offered a motion to approve the minutes of the September 14, 2010 Crime Control and Prevention District Board meeting as published.
