SUBJECT: BOARD/COMMISSION APPOINTMENTS
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council to appoint citizens to boards/commissions and the Chairman of the
Convention & Visitors Bureau Advisory Board; Mayor to appoint City Council liaisons
and the Chairman of the Grapevine Heritage Foundation and take any necessary action.
BACKGROUND:
Each year at this time, the City Council reviews and considers citizen appointments to
the various boards and commissions. Notifications of vacancies on the boards and
commissions were published in the Fort Worth Star Telegram, Dallas Morning News,
and The Grapevine Sun. Applications were compiled and distributed to the City Council
and Staff on Friday, May 12. Attendance records for each board and commission from
June 2002 — April 2003 were provided in the packet delivered to the Council.
Applicant interviews were conducted by City Council panels on May 28th and 29tH
