CCPD 2016-01 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT BOARD ADOPTING AND PROPOSING A BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2016 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2017; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 363 of the Texas Local Government Code (the "Code") the City of Grapevine created City of Grapevine Crime Control and Prevention District ("CGCCPD") through an election held on November 7, 2006; and WHEREAS, the CGCCPD was reauthorized for an additional fifteen (15) year period through an election held on May 14, 2011; and WHEREAS, Chapter 363.201(a) provides that the Board of Directors for the CGCCPD ("Board") shall establish the fiscal year for the CGCCPD and the CGCCPD shall operate on the basis of that year; and WHEREAS, the fiscal year for the CGCCPD coincides with the fiscal year of the City of Grapevine, Texas, being October 1 to September 30 of each calendar year; and WHEREAS, the Board finds that all the requirements of Chapter 363 of the Code have been met; and WHEREAS, the Board has reviewed the proposed Fiscal Year 2017 budget for the CGCCPD; and WHEREAS, all legal prerequisites for the adoption of this resolution have been met, including but not limited to the Local Government Code and the Open Meetings Act; and WHEREAS, the Board hereby declares that the approval of this resolution is in the best interests of the health, safety, and welfare of the public. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT: Section 1. That all matters stated herein above are true and correct and are incorporated herein by reference, as if copied in their entirety. That the Board of Directors for the Crime Control and Prevention k District hereby approves and recommends that the City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas, approve the proposed Fiscal Year 2017 budget for the CGCCPD, in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in said plan, which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A» Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon passage by the Board of Directors of the City of Grapevine Crime Control and Prevention District.
