APPROVAL OF CONTRACT RENEWAL, BID NUMBER 29-1999,
POLICE UNIFORM CLEANING
City Council to consider renewal of a contract to Metro Cleaners for Police uniform
cleaning. Expenditures will not exceed the annual budgeted amount of $38,619.

Funds for this contract are available in the following accounts:
100-42220-209-2 General Fund/Uniform Operations/Clothing Supplies.. $38,619
BACKGROUND:
Bids were taken in accordance with Local Government Code Chapter 252, Subchapter
B, Section 252.021 (a) and Section 252.041 (a).
This is the first renewal of the current contract that was first approved by Council on
November 2, 1999. This contract established firm pricing for the cleaning of Police
Department uniforms. Metro Cleaners in Grapevine has performed this service
satisfactorily for over three years. A copy of the original bid tabulation is attached for
review.
Staff recommends approval.
