APPROVAL OF AN ANNUAL CONTRACT, BID NUMBER 114-
2001, PROPANE FUEL
City Council to consider an annual contract award to Northwest Butane Company to
establish fixed contract pricing for propane fuel. The bid tabulation is attached for review.

BACKGROUND:
Bids were taken in accordance with Local Government Code, Section 252.021. Notice of
the bid was published in the Fort Worth Star Telegram and the Grapevine Sun on
October 25, 2001 and November 1, 2001.
The purpose of this bid is to establish an annual pricing index for propane fuel. The price
for propane fuel fluctuates and is based on a constant bid price plus or minus the spot
price index as published in the weekly propane newsletter and based on Mitchell gas
prices in Bridgeport, Texas.
Northwest Butane Company was low bid as per the attached bid tabulation and met all
of the specification requirements of the bid. Northwest has successfully provided this
service to the City in prior years.
Staff recommends approval of an award to Northwest Butane Company.

CONFIGURATION OF REMODEL
SPACE
To Accommodate Nine Cubicle Areas
for Staff
Plans are to convert part of the present storage
area and 2 offices (3 areas marked by *) to one
large area which will then be fitted with cubicles
to accommodate CVB staff. This design will
cause no visual interruption to the present public
space.
This bid is for the preparation of the space to
accommodate the cubicles.
