APPROVAL OF CONTRACT RENEWAL, BID NUMBER 24-1999,
TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT -NON CLERICAL
City Council to consider renewal of a contract to H.O.S. Staffing, d.b.a. Labor Force for
an annual contract to provide non -clerical temporary employment. Contract expenditures
will not exceed the annual budgeted amount for this service. A copy of the original
agenda memo and bid tabulation is attached for review.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Limited to budget appropriations at the department level.
BACKGROUND:
Bids were taken in accordance with Local Government Code Chapter 252, Subchapter
B, Section 252.021 (a) and Section 252.041 (a). Bids were publicly read aloud per the
attached tabulation sheet.
Notice to bidders was published in the Grapevine Sun and the Fort Worth Star Telegram
on September 2, 1999 and September 9, 1999.
This contract established fixed pricing for non -clerical temporary employment services to
be utilized by divisions on an as needed basis.
Council first approved this contract on December 7, 1999. The contract was approved
for one year with two renewal options. This is the second and last renewal. Labor Force
has indicated that they will renew the contract at the same pricing originally quoted and
this vendor has satisfactorily performed the service during the original contract period.
Staff recommends approval.
