Contract expenditures will not exceed the annual budgeted amount for this service. A copy of the original agenda memo and bid tabulation is attached for review. FUNDING SOURCE: 315-14108-0 Inventory/Fleet Equipment Parts.............$50,000 BACKGROUND: Bids were taken in accordance with Local Government Code Chapter 252, Subchapter B, Section 252.021 (a) and Section 252.041 (a). Bids were publicly read aloud per the attached tabulation sheet. Notice to bidders was published in the Grapevine Sun and the Fort Worth Star Telegram on December 16, 1999 and December 23, 1999. This contract established fixed pricing for various types of lubricants to be used in the daily operation of the Fleet Division. Council first approved this contract on January 18, 2000. The contract was approved for one year with two renewal options. This is the second and last renewal. Gilco Lubricants has indicated that they will renew the contract at the same pricing originally quoted and this vendor has satisfactorily performed the service during the original contract period. Staff recommends approval.
