SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF CONTRACT RENEWAL, BID NUMBER 35-1999,
MATERIAL HAULING SERVICES
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council to consider renewal of a contract to Wright Environmental formally known
as David Cornish Company for an annual contract to provide material hauling services.
Contract expenditures will not exceed the annual budgeted amount for this service. A
copy of the original agenda memo and bid tabulation is attached for review.
FUNDING SOURCE:
174-43301-090 St Maint/Capital Replacement/Annual St. Maint. & Overlay ... $50,000
116-43301-535-1 Storm Drainage Utility Fund/Transportation Infrast. Maint..$10,000
BACKGROUND:
Council first approved this contract on December 7, 1999 as shown on the attached
agenda memo. The contract establishes fixed annual pricing for hauling various types of
street debris and waste resulting from street maintenance and construction.
This is the second and last renewal for this contract. Wright Environmental has indicated
that they will renew the contract at the same pricing originally quoted and this vendor
has satisfactorily performed the service during the original contract period.
Staff recommends approval.
