APPROVAL OF BID 80-2001, ANNUAL CONTRACT FOR
VEHICLE COLLISION REPAIR
City Council to Consider renewal of an annual contract for the lowest and best bids
meeting City specifications to Classic Chevrolet as shown on the attached bid tabulation.
Annual Contract expenditures will be limited to the budget amount approved during the
budget process for this service.
FUNDING SOURCE:
100-43430-108-1 General Fund/Administration/Motor Vehicle Maint.... $100,000
BACKGROUND:
Council first approved this contract on February 20, 2001 as shown on the attached
agenda memo. The contract establishes fixed annual pricing for the repair of City
vehicles that may be damaged due to collision or other accidents.
The contract documents included an option to renew the contract for three additional
one-year periods. This is the first renewal period for this contract. Classic Chevrolet has
indicated that they will renew the contract at the same pricing originally quoted and this
vendor has satisfactorily performed the service during the original contract period. A
copy of the original agenda memo and bid tabulation is attached for review.
Staff recommends approval of a contract renewal to Classic Chevrolet.
