BY-LAWS FOR
GRAPEVINE PUBLIC LIBRARY
As Provided For In City
Charter Section 11.11, Page 28
Meetings: The regular monthly meeting of the Library
Board shall be held on the last Monday
evening of each month at 7:30 P.M. in the
library with a 3 day previous notice.
Special meetings may be called by the Chair_
man, or upon the request of three members,
for the transaction of business stated in
the call meeting.
Librarian or staff member designated by
librarian shall be present at all board
meetings.
Officers: Officers of the board shall be chosen at
OR the annual meeting (month of May) of the
board and shall be as follows: Chairman
and Secretary to act in absence of Chairman.
The Chairman shall preside at all meetings,
appoint special committees as needed, and
authorize calls for any special meetings.
The Secretary or substitute shall keep a
true and accurate account of all board
meeting proceedings and shall keep a copy
of the minutes of the board.
The libraxy board shall make recommendations
to the City Council for the appointment and
reappointment of members of the library board.
Committees: Special committees for the study and investi-
gation of special problems may be appointed
by the chairman; such committees are to serve
until the completion of the work for which
they were appointed. All committees will make
a progess report to the board at each meeting.
