HomeMy WebLinkAbout1976-12-28 Regular MeetingThe Library Board met on Tuesday, December 28 at 5 pm for their
regular monthly meeting. The meeting was called to order by
.Father B. All members present except Ed;Pewitt. The minutes of
the last meeting were read and approved.
The revised copy of the Grapevine Library Policy was presented.

It was briefly reviewed and discussed. A copy will be provided
for each board member at next month's meeting.
The subject ofover®due books was again discussed and exapmples
`cited by the librarian. No further action was taken.
New business discussed included rearrangement of the library for
additional shelving. The librarian requested that Board Members
do a rough sketch of possible arrangement of the library. Moving
the shelves closed together was suggestedp as well as building
shelves along the south gall of the library. The reading area
w
was also considered as one area &:,hick might possibly be used
for shelving.
Robbie Gibbs also discussed certification of librarians and
action being taken on the state level..
4ne subject of audio vinuals for the library was also discussed.
Mrs. Gibbs gave a brief report on the federal funding of the
program. It is estirJated that federal funds should be available
;by February. The possibility of films., movie projectors, and
other AV material being available for check out was discussed.
