SUBJECT: EXTENSION OF CLOSING DATE, SALE OF PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 204 S, DOOLEY
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council to consider approving the extension of time allowed for closing on the
purchase of property located at 204 S. Dooley to March 29, 2002 with a provision for a
ten-day extension at Staff discretion.
FUNDING SOURCE:

BACKGROUND:
The sale of the property located at 204 South Dooley was approved on December 18,
2001. The contract states that "closing shall be held ... on or before the sixtieth (60th) day
after approval of the bid by the City of Grapevine City Council". Since the house is not
livable in its current condition, this property cannot be closed on until bids are secured
for construction. The purchaser is requesting the closing date deadline be extended to
March 29, 2002 and has paid a good faith payment on the property of $2,500.00.
Staff requests approval.
