FOR QUOTE FOR 72 INCH CORRUGATED PIPE
REPLACEMENT AT THE POLICE DEPARTMENT GUN RANGE
CROSSING
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council to consider approval for the award of an informal request for quote for 72 inch
corrugated pipe replacement at the Police Department gun range crossing from Contech
Engineered Solutions.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Funding for this purchase is currently available in 116-48941-535-1 (Storm Drain
Improvements) for an amount not to exceed $19,430.40.
BACKGROUND:
This purchase is for the replacement of 72 inch corrugated pipe at the Police Department
gun range crossing.
Informal quotes were taken in accordance with the City Purchasing Policy. Formal bids
and advertisements are not required for purchases under$50,000 00. Three quotes were
submitted as noted below. Contech Engineered Solutions submitted the lowest quote
meeting specifications. The low bid from Eagle National Steel could not provide the 2:1
pipe sections required for the project.
Contech Engineered Solutions $19,430.40
Texas Erosion Supply $21,573.12
Eagle National Steel, LTD. $14,906.03
Staff recommends approval.
