SUBJECT: APPOINTMENT OF THE GCISD STUDENT EX -OFFICIO
MEMBER OF THE PARKS & RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD
RECOMMENDATION:
The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board recommends that the City Council approve Mr.
Tyler Johnson, 4130 Mapleridge Drive, as the student ex -officio member of the Parks &
Recreation Advisory Board for a period of two years.
BACKGROUND:
Three members of the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board interviewed Mr. Johnson and
another candidate on June 5th. The Board passed a motion at the June 20th meeting to
recommend the City Council appoint Mr. Johnson as the student ex -officio member of
the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board. Mr. Johnson is a junior at Colleyville Heritage
High School. Since the City Council approved the position of student liaison in 1994,
student membership has alternated between the two high schools.
