SUBJECT: CONSIDER AN AGREEMENT WITH FLEUR DE LIS
LANDSCAPE & LAWN CARE FOR THE ADOPT -A -ROAD
PROGRAM FOR POOL ROAD, FROM BARBERRY ROAD TO
IRA E. WOODS AVENUE
RECOMMENDATION:
The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board and staff recommend the City Council consider
approval of an agreement with Fleur de Lis Landscape & Lawn Care of Grapevine for
the Adopt -A -Road program for Pool Road, from Barberry Road to Ira E. Woods Avenue.
A copy the application is attached.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Adopt -A -Road signage would be placed at both ends of the project. The estimated cost
for the signage is $100. Funding for the signs would come from the Parks Maintenance
Sign Account 100-43301-312-3.
BACKGROUND:
Fleur de Lis Landscape & Lawn Care would be required to pick up litter a minimum of six
times per year according to the agreement. The City provides trash bags and safety
vests. The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board approved the agreement with Fleur de
Lis Landscape & Lawn Care at the July 19, 2001 meeting.

The City of Grapevine will work with the adopting group to determine the specific
section of roadway to be adopted. Such factors as width of right-of-way, geometrics,
congestion and reduced sight distance of roadways may be considered by the City in
determining what roadways shall be eligible for adoption.
