SUBJECT: ADOPT-A-ROAD PROGRAM
RECOMMENDATION:
The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board and staff recommend the City Council consider
approval of Adopt-A-Road agreement with Marty and Tia Metzger, for Oak Grove Loop,
from Dove Loop and Oak Grove Loop South to Darren G. Medlin Trail and Oak Grove
Loop North. The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board approved the agreement at the
October 25, 2008 meeting. A copy of the agreement is attached for review.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Adopt-A-Road signage would be placed at both ends of the project area for the program.
The cost of the signage is approximately $150 and would come from the Grounds
Maintenance Account 100-42205-312-3.
BACKGROUND:
The proposed agreement is for a period of two years and requires the applicant to pick
up litter a minimum of six times per year. The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board and�
staff recommend approval of the agreement

APPLICATION FOR ADOPT-A-ROADWAY PROGRAM
The City of Grapevine will work with the adopting group to determine the specific section of
roadway to be adopted. Such factors as width of right-of-way, geometrics, congestion and
reduced sight distance of roadways may be considered by the City in determining what
roadways shall be eligible for adoption.
