SUBJECT: CONDITIONAL USE REQUEST C000-43, CORVETTE MUSEUM
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends City Council consider the applicant's request to extend Conditional
Use Request C000-43 for one year and take any other action necessary.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Conditional Use Request C000-43 (Ord. 2000-101) was considered and approved by
Council at their September 19, 2001, meeting and allowed for on -premise alcohol
beverage sales in conjunction with a car museum, theater, convention center and
restaurant, located at 2401 William D. Tate Avenue. The applicant, Louise Halprin of
Morley Architects, on behalf of the owner Mr. Tony Parella, is requesting a one year
extension to their approved conditional use permit citing current economic conditions as
a need for the extension. See the attached letter.

This letter is to request a one year extension for the "Conditional Use Permit" for the
American Corvette Museum, that was approved September 19, 2000. As you know, we
have not applied for a Building Permit and, due to the current economic condition, the
Construction Drawings may not be available for a Building Permit for several months.
