September 26, 2001 (12:58PM) Staff is proposing to rent 1,000 lineal feet of concrete traffic barriers (CTBs) from MICA Corporation for the Parr Road Construction Project. No other supplier can provide the needed quantity of barrier at this time. At the letting of the project, TxIDOT advised us that we could use some of their surplus barriers for the project. Since that time, TOOT has advised us that those surplus barriers have been committed to TOOT projects due to changes in the scheduling of their projects. The rental is for a nine-month period to the conclusion of the project. Staff recommends approval. JSL\jdr 0AAGENDA\1 0-02-01\parr-road-MICA.doc E September 26, 2001 (9:47AM) RESOLUTION NO.
