SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF AN ANNUAL CONTRACT, BID NUMBER 108-
2001, PARKS PLAYBOOK ACTIVITY BROCHURE
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council to consider an annual contract award to F. J. Business Forms to establish
fixed contract pricing for printing services of the Parks and Recreation Activity Brochure.
A bid tabulation is attached for review.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Annual contract expenditures will be limited to the department annual budget amount
approved for this service as follows: $26,000 from Account 100-42200-312-7,
Recreational Programs and $8,000 from Account 100-42200-312-6, Athletic Programs.
BACKGROUND:
Bids were taken in accordance with Local Government Code, Section 252.021. Notice of
the bid was published in the Fort Worth Star Telegram and the Grapevine Sun on
September 20, 2001 and September 27, 2001.
The purpose of this bid is to establish fixed annual pricing for the printing services for the
Parks and Recreation Activity Brochure. The brochure, which is printed twice annually is
mailed to Grapevine citizens to describe the various activities of the Parks and
Recreation Department. Bids were sent to nine vendors with three vendors responding.
F.J. Business Forms was the lowest overall bid that met all of the required
specifications. F. J. Business Forms has been awarded this contract in prior years and
has completed each contract satisfactorily.
Staff recommends that an award to establish an annual contract be made to F. J.
Business Forms.
Staff recommends approval.
