SUBJECT: CONSIDER APPROVAL OF AN ADOPT -A -ROAD AGREEMENT
WITH THE BELFORT HOMEOWNER'S ASSOCIATION, INC.
FOR HERITAGE AVENUE, FROM HALL -JOHNSON ROAD TO
BIG BEAR CREEK
RECOMMENDATION:
The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board and staff recommend the City Council consider
approval of an Adopt -A -Road agreement with the Belfort Homeowner's Association, Inc.
for Heritage Avenue, from Hall -Johnson Road to Big Bear Creek. A copy of the
application is attached for review.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Adopt -A -Road signage would be placed at both ends of the project area. The estimated
cost for the signage is $100. Funding for the signs would come from Parks Maintenance
Account 100-42200-312-3.
BACKGROUND:
The Belfort Homeowner's Association, Inc. would be required to pick up litter a minimum
of six times per year according to the agreement. The City provides trash bags and
safety vests.
The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board approved the agreement at the November 15,
2001 meeting. If the City Council approves the agreements, there will be a total of 27
Adopt-A-Road\Park programs active in the City.

CITY OF GRAPEVINE
APPLICATION FOR ADOPT -A -ROADWAY PROGRAM
The City of Grapevine will work -with the adopting group to determine the specific
section of roadway to be adopted. Such factors as width of right-of-way, geometrics,
congestion and reduced sight distance of roadways may be considered by the City in
determining what roadways shall be eligible for adoption.
