The total amount of this expenditure is $22,944.00. A bid tabulation is attached for review. FUNDING SOURCE: Funds will be available from the sale of the Equipment Acquisition Notes in Account 325- 48910-000000-05 FY2002 BACKGROUND: Bids were taken in accordance with Local Government Code Chapter 252, Subchapter B, Section 252.021, 252.0215, and 252.022. This bid was advertised in the Fort Worth Star Telegram and the Grapevine Sun on September 20, 2001 and September 27, 2001. The purpose of this bid was to obtain competitive pricing for one utility vehicle for the Police Department. Bids were sent to seven vendors with one vendor responding. A post bid survey of all bidders indicated that all bidders did receive the bid and that there were various reasons for not returning their bids. The replacement criteria for this vehicle is 6 years or 80,000 miles. The current unit is 8 years old and has 78,000 miles. The one bid received from Classic Chevrolet did meet all of the specifications and requirements of the bid.
