SUBJECT: CONSIDER APPROVAL OF A RESOLUTION FOR THE
PURCHASE OF A RESTROOM FACILITY FROM CXT
PRECAST PRODUCTS FOR THE OAK GROVE BALLFIELD
COMPLEX
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council to consider a resolution awarding a contract to CXT Precast Products for
the purchase of a precast concrete restroom facility to be located at the Oak Grove
Ballfield Complex in the total amount of $44,779.25. Staff will have a photo of the
exterior treatments of the restroom facility at the meeting.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Funds are available in account number 121-48840-312-09-00001 Council Quality of Life
Fund. The Board of the Grapevine Youth Baseball Association has agreed to reimburse
the City of Grapevine for the new restroom facility.

BACKGROUND:
During the design process of the Oak Grove Ballfield Complex, officials from the
Grapevine Youth Baseball Association asked staff if a small restroom facility could be
added at some time at the complex next to the two largest ballfields due to the distance
to the nearest restroom. The Board of the Grapevine Youth Baseball Association
recently voted to fund the new restroom facility.
The proposed restroom facility is a CXT concrete restroom similar to the new one the
Council approved for Bear Creek Park. The installation of the water and sewer lines to
this restroom facility was included in the construction contract for the renovations of the
ballfield complex and has already been installed.
The Council Facilities Committee met on November 4th to select the exterior treatments
to the restroom facility. The facility will be split face concrete and have the same stone
treatment added to the lower part of the restroom that will match the new
restroom/concession building.
In closing, staff recommends the Council approve the resolution to award a contract to
CXT Precast Products for the restroom facility at the Oak Grove Ballfield Complex in the
amount of $44,779.25.

RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF
A RESTROOM FACILITY FOR THE OAK GROVE BALLFIELD
COMPLEX FROM CXT PRECAST PRODUCTS AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas is a local government in the State of
Texas and as such is empowered by the Texas Local Government Code, Section 271.102
to enter into a cooperative purchasing program agreement with other qualified entities in
the State of Texas; and
WHEREAS, the State of Texas TXMAS program is a qualified purchasing
cooperative program as authorized by Section 271.102 of the Texas Local Government
Code; and
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas, has established an Interlocal Agreement
with the State of Texas TXMAS program and wishes to utilize established contracts
meeting all State of Texas requirements; and
WHEREAS, the State of Texas TXMAS program has established contracts with
�� CXT Precast Products for the restroom facility.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated in the above preamble are true and correct and
are incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Grapevine authorizes the purchase
of the restroom facility from CXT Precast Products for the Oak Grove Ballfield Complex for
a total cost not to exceed $44,779.25.
Section 3. That the City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to take all steps
necessary to consummate the purchase of said restroom facility.
Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.

GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 18th day of November, 2008.
