SUBJECT: APPROVAL TO PURCHASE SCOREBOARDS FOR THE
OAKGROVE BALLFIELD COMPLEX
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council to consider award of a purchase order to Olen Williams, Inc. for the
purchase of nine baseball/softball scoreboards for the Oak Grove Ballfield Complex in
the total amount of$80,190.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Funds are available in account 121-48860-312-07-000002 Council Quality of Life
Fund/Machinery and Equipment/Parks and Recreation.
BACKGROUND:
This purchase will be made in accordance with an existing Interlocal Agreement with the
Local Government Purchasing Cooperative (Buyboard.com) as allowed by Texas Local
Government Code, Section 271.102. Bids were taken by the Cooperative and a contract
�vas awa�de� to Moore Medical, LLC under cantract number 269-G7. i his coriract was
awarded on October 1, 2007 and will expire on September 30, 2010. The Interlocal
Agreement and Cooperative Purchasing Agreement satisfy all bidding requirements
under the Local Government Code.
