Maley, Principal Transportation Planner from the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG), will be making a presentation detailing the essential elements of a Regional Transportation Study. BACKGROUND: The NCTCOG is the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the Dallas/ Fort Worth region. As such, they analyze and plan for regional mobility needs in the area. The Metroport Cities Partnership comprised of the cities of Grapevine, Southlake, Trophy Club, Haslet, Colleyville, Keller, Westlake, and Roanoke are considering submitting a request to NCTCOG for a regional transit study for the Metroport Cities Partnership service area. The Partnership will make this request to NCTCOG only if member cities express support for such a study. Ms. Maley will provide an overview of what such a regional study entails, the issues it addresses and the benefits.
