SUBJECT: BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS
RECOMMENDATION:
Consider (1) Chairman appointments to the Convention & Visitors Bureau Advisory
Board, the Grapevine Heritage Foundation, Parks & Recreation Advisory Board and the
Senior Citizens Advisory Board; (2) Mayor to appoint the Council Corps Committee and
(3) consider expanding the membership of the Council Facilities Committee.
BACKGROUND:
Pursuant to the Grapevine Code of Ordinances, Chapter 21, Section 21-28, the City
Council appoints the Chairman of the Convention & Visitors Bureau Advisory Board.
Pursuant to Resolution No. 90-17, the Mayor appoints the Chairman of the Grapevine
Heritage Foundation.
Pursuant to the Grapevine Code of Ordinances, Chapter 16 Parks & Recreation, Section
16-3, the Mayor appoints the Chairman of the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board.
Pursuant to Resolution No. 2000-39, the Mayor appoints the Chairman of the Senior
Citizens Advisory Board.
Council Corps Committee was established to review the improvements and use of the
City leased U.S. Army Corps of Engineers property at Lake Grapevine.
Council to discuss expanding the membership of the Council Facilities Committee from
three to four members.
